Fractional IT Director — Brisbane
IT leadership, without the full-time hire.
I work with small and mid-sized businesses as their IT Director, a few days a month, embedded in your leadership team. Not a consultant parachuted in for a project. Someone who actually knows your business.
If technology keeps ending up on the owner’s desk, or your IT setup is running without anyone really leading it, that is what I am here to fix.
No pitch. Just a conversation.

What I do
IT Strategy & Roadmap
A technology plan aligned to where the business is going, reviewed as priorities shift.
MSP & Team Direction
Setting priorities, reviewing performance, handling escalations for whoever is delivering your IT.
Vendor & Licence Management
Software renewals, contract negotiations, cutting tools you are paying for but do not need.
Leadership Presence
Sitting in on your leadership meetings so technology decisions get made in context.
Project Oversight
Migrations, infrastructure upgrades, new system rollouts, delivered to spec.
Budget & Risk
IT budget planning, spend consolidation, compliance and risk reported at board level.
Who it suits
I work with founder-led businesses, typically between 10 and 100 people, who have an existing IT setup, an MSP, internal staff, or both, but nobody at the leadership level setting direction for it.
If you are looking for helpdesk or break-fix support, I am not the right fit. If you need someone who can sit above your existing IT setup and make sure it is actually working toward where the business is heading, that is the work I do.

Common questions
An MSP delivers and supports the IT itself. I sit above that relationship, setting direction, holding your MSP (or internal team) accountable, and making sure decisions serve the business, not just the ticket queue.
That is the most common setup I step into. I do not replace them, I direct them, review their performance, and make sure priorities are set at the leadership level.
It varies by business, typically a few days a month. We scope it together based on what is actually needed, not a fixed retainer.
No lock-in. We agree a scope, and either of us can end the arrangement with notice if it is not working.
Mostly founder-led businesses between 10 and 100 people, across a range of industries. Prior experience spans government, enterprise, and startups.
Not sure if there is a fit? That is a fine reason to call.
